Growth Groups

As God's people in Willerby we are want to grow, not only in numbers but also in our relationship with God. Growth groups are a great way of doing this. They meet in different homes within our church family to discuss and study the Bible. At the moment there are three groups, each meeting together at a different time during the week.

Youth Ministry - Distinctive and Sunday at Seven

Distinctive is for young people in school years 7-9. It meets each Friday evening (during school term-time) at the Memorial Hall in Kirk Ella for a structured time of games, fun and bible teaching. The group also go on outings and have residential weekends each year.

Sunday at Seven is our Sunday evening event for 14-30 year-olds. It is Church but not what you'd think! It is an initiative full of fresh ideas, usung the latest sounds and multimedia, with great bible input and a warm and open welcome!

Distinctive and Sunday at Seven are run in conjunction with the neighbouring St Andrew's Church, Kirk Ella http://kirkellachurch.org/

 Church Family Prayer Meeting

In addition to meeting on Sunday morning, we also meet to pray together during the week because we believe prayer is the basic form of Christian work. Without it we are standing in God's service without him!

 Friendship Club

St. Luke’s Friendship Club is mainly for older ladies and meets in our Church Hall at 2 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month (with the exception of August). The entertainment is varied and includes music, slide shows, talks and demonstrations. A warm welcome and, of course, a cup of tea is always assured.

Our Friendship Club is linked with Age UK  www.ageuk.org.uk

Toddler Group

Meets in our church hall on Wednesday mornings, 10 -11.30 a.m., during term time, for mums or dads with pre-school children. This is a great time of fun for the toddlers and an opportunity for parents to have a drink and chat.
