Youth Activities - 'Conkers' and 'Rooted'
Conkers is our group for 10-14 year-olds. It meets on a monthly basis with all kinds of fun activities, snacks, crafts and games. You don't have to be bonkers to join Conkers, but it helps! Start time is 7 p.m at St. Luke's. Please contact us for the latest dates
Rooted Rooted is our group for young people aged 15 and over! We meet in the St. Andrew's Memorial Hall at 8:30 p.m on a Friday and on a Sunday Evening around 7 p.m at a leaders house. Rooted a great place to meet new people and catch up with friends over cake, games and table football! We play games, have fun, hear a talk from the Bible or do a Bible study, before eating more cake and playing more games! New people are always welcome! Rooted is run in conjunction with our neighbouring church, St Andrew's, Kirk Ella. http://kirkellachurch.org/
In addition to meeting on Sunday morning, we also meet to pray together during the week because prayer is the basic on which we build all our work. Without it we are standing in God's service without him! We meet every Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at St. Luke's.
St. Luke’s Friendship Club is mainly for older ladies and meets in our Church Hall at 2 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month (with the exception of August). The entertainment is varied and includes music, slide shows, talks and demonstrations. A warm welcome and, of course, a cup of tea is always assured.

Meets in our church hall on Wednesday mornings, 10 -11.30 a.m., during term time, for parents and carers with pre-school children. This is a great time of fun for the toddlers and an opportunity for the adults to have refreshments and a chat. This group is proving to be so popular that it is currently operating a waiting list. Please call 0796 795 1373 for further details and to book your place.
